We’re shooting a movie. We” actually we’ve been shooting the movie for years but we’ve decided that we’re going to get serious about it this week and have taken some steps towards putting it all together and with two big shows this week, we’ve hired some pros to come out and film.
We need your help. Our camera crews will be trying to solicit some comments about the band and we really need some of our fans to step up, don’t be shy, and say some interesting things about the band, on camera.
The movie we’re producing will be a documentary style look at the reality of being a post middle age group of friends still rocking. Inspired by a line that was said when I was purchasing an amp about a month ago and told the seller what i did. He remarked “You’re living the dream”. I laughed and shot back “more like dreaming the life but we’re having fun”. He told me he would give anything to be in a band. He was about my age and was talking about spending 40 years of his life chasing business success. He told me how much he regretted never taking the time to do what he really wanted to do, which was be in a band. So this movie is going to be for all the guys like him who never did, whatever their true calling was. Part inspiration and part vicarious voyeurism, this will be a movie that showcases the spirit of theRockin45s: Life Is good Today!
This Wednesday we’re back at Cedar Beach, and the current forecast looks like the rain will pass before the show and we’ll have a nice night.The Beach Weather is here.
The Beach Hut features free parking, good food at reasonable prices and great entertainment all week long. theRockin45s are there an average of 10 times every Summer and only have a few nights left on the calendar this year, so come on out. It’s movie night.
On Friday, we’re in Copiague, the town where 4/5s of the 45s first rocked so long ago. The annual feast at the church OLA, where we last played 10 years ago. The last time we played there was a wild one and maybe a little too wild as we haven’t been back in 10 years lol.
Both nights promise to be full of surprises and some special memories. Please make plans to come out and be in our movie. 🙂
